Re: Soft Shuffle

Another thing is: could you please forbid the use of silent admin commnads, for example writing ! Commands in fireteam menu or else. I do not like it at all. Especially since you implemented commands like finger. I do not want to have every idiot admin to have my ip, without showing, that he is ret...

Concerning LUA support

Hi, i'd like to know how the LUA API will look like, because i'm working on a project that needs server side modifications, and i'd like to be able to at least outline the server plugin. Will the API be similar to this one http://wolfwiki.anime.net/index.php/ETPro:Lua_Mod_API ? If not, where are the...

Re: jaymod 2.2.0 and omni 0.81 crashing all time

My system is Ubuntu Linux 64bit.

You should try this in rcon:

Code: Select all

bot version
That will show if it is actually loading the correct version.

PM sent.

Re: jaymod 2.2.0 and omni 0.81 crashing all time

To me that looks like an error in your setup. I'm running 2.2.0 as well and it's working perfectly fine for me. My server logs look very similar to your's, they also show "loader version 0.66", but rcon says: !uptime uptime: 44 days, 3 hours, 34 minutes, 24 seconds. bot version ^2Omni-Bot : Dec 23 2...

Re: front page of jaymod

In some post Jaybird mentioned that this feature has been disabled (or was being buggy) long ago.
He also mentioned that he might remove it completely.

Re: Donations to Jaymod project

It's all up to you what you use that money for of course :D It won't be enough to compensate the time spent on Jaymod anyways :P (i wish i had so much money :O) But i always feel (even small) donations are a great way of showing appreciation for something that was given to us for free, even though i...

Donations to Jaymod project

Hello, my clan has been powered by Jaymod for some three years now, and we would like to donate some money to the Jaymod project. There is a donation button on the jaymod frontpage, but i'm not quite sure if that account is still in use, so i'd like to know how we can send donations to you. Also, i ...

Re: Mine usage enhancement

I like the idea of engineering XP having an effect on the amount of mines a player can deploy.
Though on XP safe servers this would be more or less pointless over time.

Re: Mine usage enhancement

But then again this would guarantee each player a certain amount of mines to waste. Suppose you are two engis and you're the only one who actually deploys mines. That inevitably bottles half of the mines up. I see the problem of people pointlessly planting mines at weird spots, but once they disappe...

Basically Lua allows server administrators to easily deploy plugins (written in Lua) to enhance the server without any hacky patches.

Re: please add LUA support

Now that 2.2.0 is the new stable release, the 2.0 release has been archived. 2.3.0 is the next beta release, which already has sv_cvar support and Lua is currently being worked on. Lua support is already being worked on and from what i read it's being tested already. Can't find the post though, but...

Drizzle might be worth a look. If i am not mistaken it was released under a simplified BSD license.

Re: SQL / MySQL

It certainly depends on the dimensions. For average server administrators MySQL is overkill and a waste of resources. I see the advantage of MySQL though, since i'm running >8 servers myself. And now, that i think about it most servers are hosted by public game server hosts anyways, for those it mig...
