Could use something like level specific vote calling
Sort of like level 0's not being able to call kick votes for instance and so on, that would be neat =)

Thanks to tjimboo, who hooked me up with a test server!

With Omnibot 0.81 support complete, I've started working on LUA. I'm just going to derive it from ETPub's implementation, as there's no need to reinvent the wheel here. I'll make it object based instead though :)

Yes. Just need to find a good stopping point for a release. I may be at that point already.

This means I need to dig out the mac mini and get it all set up. And set up cygwin. Those parts won't be fun.

why put any prio on omni support unless its just effortless. i dont play bots and most people i know hate bots :)
jaymod is a awsome stable mod. with 40+ players on and 12 days uptime then the mod shows its stability. all tweaks (some necessary) last years has made harder to have a smooth running server.
the fact that most played servers are all running jaymod says it all :).

so fixing bugs and continue make it stable and fun is better time invested in my view :)

Well I've already got OB 0.81 support done. I've got a couple security fixes done, and a couple people pointed out a couple more to look at, so I imagine that's kind of a big deal. Also fixed the artillery shake bug (I think at least). Not to mention the changes for wide screen displays.

The main problem with jaymod imo were the bugs.
It's not so nice when random people just come strolling along and crash the server or kick all the players.

And nobody actually runs jaymod anymore, most run jaymod + enhanced mod, because that gave some stability again...
:D

This is awesome news Jaybird, your work is extremely appreciated.

If you need another test server, send me a PM and I am sure the **DRC**Clan can hook you up. If I/we can help any other way, please let me know!

WOOHOOO! Jay is back!

Jay if you need a test server let me know. We have a handful.

Errr...Oh I see Bubba told you already LOL :P

On a side note we are using the enhanced_mod alongside jaymod 2.0.18. That mod has fixes for the security issues mentioned.

And now I've made it so that if you catch a panzer rocket with your face (i.e. get hit directly with a panzer missile), you will gib regardless of adrenaline or flak jacket. It's ridiculous that a player can live through that.

With this last change, and now that my build system is up and working, I'm set to make a release build. Anyone wanna run the thing on a live server before I do a general release?
