2.1.8 ready for consumption

Post by jaybird » Mon Mar 28, 2011 8:39 pm

This is a release of 2.1.8 that I'm not yet announcing on the front page (and hence splatterladder). Any of you are welcome to use it. Please give me any feedback you have regarding bugs. Specifically, I'm looking for bugs introduced from 2.1.7 or the last nightly that came out. I also really need any info regarding problems with widescreen support. I'm sure I missed a thing or two (no one's perfect).

Download here.

Attempting to login using Windows 7 and consistently get the message ET.exe has stopped working. Our Shock & Awe (old jaymod with OB 0.66) still loads fine.

From what I can see in our etconsole.log (didn't see a message in-game):

And this is why I didn't wanna announce it yet :) If you've downloaded the package, delete it. I'm reproducing the crash on my end. I'm guessing it has something to do with the build system. I'll have to poke at it after work today. Sorry guys.

No worries mate, again, let us know if there is any other way we can be of assistance! :)

btw... I disabled PB and ET.exe still crashed so thinking that was a fluke.

Yes, the server appears to load fine! I am running Windows 7 64-bit with SP1.

I'm getting the same crash on my windows server. Strange, it only happens with Windows release builds made from our build system, but not the IDE.
