That will work, but the general convention is to use the sound directory as the parent directory.

Yeah I know but I find it easier to reference if I name the folder what it is pertaining to, also 'put a folder in a folder' is easier to get wrong so I try to explain it the simplest way.

Is there a limit to the number of .wav files or a limit on admin levels. I had the greetings working fine for about a month then I added another level and another greeting (admin) and all stopped working. None of the sounds play now either when I do /rcon playsound /sound/greeting/XXX.wav
I thought maybe the .wav file I added was bad so I removed it but still not working. Everything is mono 16bit 22khz format too btw including the .wav I added then removed.

If the sounds are the exact same as before then you must have put them in the wrong directory, you haven't accidentally put them in a 'new folder' before pk3'ing them? There is no limit as I am aware btw.

While experimenting with audio greetings, found this in the changelog:

!readconfig has been renamed to !dbload

Might be useful for someone else.
