reinforcement / spawntime

Just to ask, how would i go about editing the reinforcement count / spawn time limit?

This is defined in the mapname.script which can be found in the map folder of the maps pk3 file.

The lines you are looking for are these:

Code: Select all

wm_axis_respawntime	30
wm_allied_respawntime	20
Before you start editing you need to setup your server.

In your server config you should have this:

Code: Select all

set g_mapScriptDirectory        "mapscripts"
Add/edit your config if this is not there.

Next you need to make sure you have a "mapscripts" folder inside the jaymod folder if you don't create it.

Extract the mapname.script file from the pk3 and open the file up in any text editor. Look for the "respawntime" lines in the file and edit the number. Check the whole file for these as some maps change repawn times during the map.

Now all you have to do is save & upload the edited file to your "mapscripts" folder. Don't save this in the pk3 file as it will make everyone have to download the file again.

You need to do this for every map that you want to change the spawntimes for.

server runs no download, so it's the maps already installed EG oasis railgun etc etc, thing is their not in the installation, would i have to download them?

The scripts are still in the Map folder but the location depends on what version server version you are running.

The script files are contained in all of these

pak0.pk3
pak1.pk3
pak2.pk3

If your server has all 3 files extract from the pak2 if only the 1st 2 then pak1 etc
