JayMod installation help.

Post by Goku » Mon Apr 11, 2011 11:21 am

I bought a server from Multiplay recently. I'm using clanforge to set it up.

I have a profile setup that runs JayMod and that profile is connected to my server. The problem is that JayMod isn't working.

List of non-working things;
JayMod
Rcon password
Admin
Hit sounds
Bots

If someone could please help me out. I would be very happy. Thank you.

Just sent you a PM...

btw... have you looked through the Jaymod/Omni-bot installation docs?

Jaymod should include a PDF file in the zipped file you download.

He is working with http://clanforge.multiplay.co.uk/ with a bit more complicated setup process. Has anyone else worked with these guys in hopes that I am making it more difficult that it needs to be?

This may have already been said in the pm you had.

Have you checked that your start line is pointing to the jaymod folder.(full name of jaymod folder)?

If when the server starts and you aren't pointing here you will just run standard et with no mod.

Maybe post a screen shot of the server setup page/s as this might help. please make sure you don't have any passwords showing.

Issue is more understanding how ClanForge sets everything up. He was waiting for tech-support for over an hour just to get things setup. They will no longer be his host... heck, we couldn't even see the files. I believe they wanted you to upload all the zip files for the mods/configs with instructions to them and they would set it up when they were ready.

I'm working on getting a refund. They are a horrible ET server host. The tech support is slow and far below average. Heck, they are far below novice.

Not sure if I am allowed to but.. www.ycn-hosting.com - best ET Server host!
User friendly Control Panel and fast support via "Support Tickets" or the Forum.

Accses to the ftp server via third part tools such as FileZilla (or what the name is).
You can easily edit files online, upload maps and other files is also both fast and easy to do. Every needed URLs and paths is already taken care of by YCN.

Maybe check that out

I do hope I didn't break any rule by posting this :?
